The Jezreel valley is currently undergoing a time of renewal, which includes new train and road infrastructure and major housing development. This housing development is in cities such as Afula and Migdal HaEmek. All this development in the valley is in preparation for a major population increase as Jewish people make aliyah from the Nations.
Elohim House (formerly Great Southlands House of Prayer), located on Mount Carmel, was officially opened in October 2017. At Elohim House, we are believing for an increase in Jewish and indeed Messianic aliyah to the Jezreel valley and to Israel. However, it's not always easy for Messianic believers to be fully accepted by certain segments of Jewish society and the government. The lack of complete acceptance of Jewish believers in Yeshua within Israel can result in the Messianic believers’ associated right of return to the Land to sometimes be opposed by immigration authorities. At Elohim House, we believe the Spirit of God is moving in such a way upon the people and authorities in Israel that these age-old barriers to the Messianic believers (both within Israel and to those wishing to return) will be removed in the days ahead.
Migdal HaEmek is a case in point whose current spiritual identity illustrates the opposition orthodox religious Jews have towards Messianic believers. Migdal HaEmek is the second-largest city in the Jezreel Valley, after Afula. It has a population of 30,000 people and is home to a growing number of high-tech businesses. It also has next to no Messianic witness and there is currently no Messianic congregation – only a couple of home groups meeting there. The city itself has a strong orthodox influence and, like other such cities in Israel, it can be very challenging to initiate Messianic meetings and activities. At Elohim House our intercession teams believe the Lord has a special call on Migdal HaEmek, which is to shine forth the light of Yeshua across the communities of the valley of Jezreel and beyond. We believe that Migdal HaEmek together with Afula will be a future destination for many Jewish people and Messianic believers to make their home. The infrastructure is already being made ready for their return.
We believe God's destiny for the towns and cities of the Jezreel valley is to be a place where Messianic Jews are embraced and where King Yeshua Himself is welcomed.
