If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it (Luke 9:23-24).
The words of Yeshua are as significant today as to his first disciples and followers. Our mandate is to answer his call for discipleship and prepare the Body of Christ for His return.
Lech L’cha is a discipleship training ministry which started 17 years ago in Israel. For many years it was the only discipleship program running in Israel for young Hebrew-speaking believers. Our main teaching is structured around a three-month program, and we have several discipleship programs running throughout the year. We have ministered to over 200 young Israeli believers from the ages of 18 to 27.
During each program we have more than 30 different Israeli pastors and ministry leaders come and teach our students on various faith foundational topics. The students have the opportunity to visit congregations, meet ministries and serve in various places, sharing the love of Yeshua in practical ways. Throughout the program we have witnessed dozens of lives being transformed and young Israeli believers recommit their lives to the Lord. Others gain a deeper and more founded relationship with God, as well as receiving a new understanding and clear vision for their lives as they choose to take up their cross and follow Him.
Our goal is to equip young Israeli believers with a strong foundation in the word, a passion for God and for the lost, equipping them to serve in their local congregations, as well as anywhere they find themselves, for the glory of God. We desire to see more young Israeli believers turn their lives around and become disciples of Yeshua, and make disciples who follow and serve God, in whatever area the Lord is calling them.
Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you (Gen 12:1). God called Abraham to step out in faith. He said to go, follow, trust me and I will lead and show you your inheritance. Our discipleship ministry’s heart is to see young believers answer the call and step out in faith, committing their lives and trusting the Lord. We are here to share the Good News! Just as Yeshua served the Father on earth, seeking his Kingdom and His will for His life and ministry, we are inspired by the One we follow, to commit our lives to serving Him and bringing others to a closer relationship with God.
